Alex Glass is the Securities Commissioner for the Indiana Secretary of State, Securities Division, a position he has held since 2015. As Commissioner, Glass is responsible for upholding Indiana’s securities laws, regulating industry professionals and protecting investors. Glass directs the Indiana MoneyWise financial education program, which helps Hoosiers learn smart money management skills and avoid investment fraud. Prior to his appointment, Glass worked in the Securities Division in various capacities starting in 2010, including serving as the Chief Deputy Securities Commissioner. Prior to joining the office, Glass worked as Director of Operations at a marketing research company.
Glass is an active member of the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) and currently serves as Chair of the Investment Adviser Section and sits on the Senior Issues/Diminished Capacity and Crisis Planning & Recovery board level committees. In 2019, Glass was appointed to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Asset Management Advisory Committee. Glass also serves on the advisory board for the Indiana Council for Economic Education (ICEE). Glass is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and the Indiana University McKinney School of Law.
