Investor Education & Protection Resources for Educators
Calling all financial educators! The Teach Investing section of the IPT website is designed for educators who want to teach investor education and protection in their classrooms, workplaces, community centers, libraries, senior centers, etc. This section includes a variety of teaching resources including curriculum, presentations and video. Individuals can learn a lot from these resources, too.
Teach the Basics of Saving and Investing

"The Basics of Saving and Investing: Investor Edcation 2020" is an investor education and protection teaching guide that can be used in a variety of learning environments including college courses, workplace education, after school programs, seminars for adults and seniors, etc. "The Basics" is also a great DIY course for individuals.
IPT has also developed a "Train the Trainer" presentation for educators currently using "The Basics" guide who would like to share it with other educators.
Investor Education for Military Families

The "Financial Field Manual: The Personal Finance Guide for Military Families" focuses on the key issues that can help military families make informed investing decisions, protect their money and their families and take charge of their financial lives.

Teach Videos

The IPT Teach Video Segments are designed to be used by educators in investor education trainings and in conjunction with IPT’s "The Basics of Saving and Investing" guide. The Teach video segments are available for download as windows media files for use as part of non-commercial, investor education and protection initiatives. They can be embedded in PowerPoint presentations and used with other presentation software packages.
Investor Education Booklets and Trifolds

Teach the process of investing with IPT's investor education and protection booklets and trifolds. IPT worked with the Kiplinger Washington Editors to draft seven investor education booklets as part of IPT’s investor education and protection programs in public libraries. The booklets tackle the basics of several key investor topics such as stocks and bonds. Each booklet has a complementary trifold.
